Um, yes. Before I get into the trailer, I just want to say one thing: SSX LOOKS STUNNING!!! WOW! WOW! I feel like PS3 is just getting into the brink of its power when you actually see the visuals of the game. The game looks like a Winter Wonder Sportsland!!! Straight up! Ok, now that the little embellishment is done…on to the trailer.
All right, it’s good to see that SSX is going back to what it was originally known for..being the fantasy snowboarding game. Defy Reality trailer? YES! Excellent name for the trailer because it literally looks like each character is going thousands of feet in the air with no remorse, no boundaries, no sense of fear. I love this trailer! You get a rush just from looking at the whole thing!!!
The gameplay looks insane!! The way the snowboard grips the snow and it smoothly sticks to how you can grind the pipes and jump off of it into a backflip then combo out of it with a tail grab with just barely missing a copter. Wow! Talk about intensity!!! Taking it to the extreme with the different tricks, grabs, and just out of mind movements, gives the game a great BANG element that’s missing from a lot of games these days. Man, I still remember playing the first one on PS2 that Christmas of 2000 leading into the winter of 2001. My boys and I played for hours upon hours. The game was just sooo much fun! I can honestly say this is making me feel like a teenager all over again with the incredible graphics, gameplay, and just creativity and out of the box thinking that got me to love the original title. Peep the trailer below, and see for yourself!!! Feel the rush at the end of the clip as your character jumps off the huge cliff into a world of endless snow!!
