Well, it seems like Activision has done it again! They’ve set up another hype trailer for the Call of Duty series! The basic premise of Black Ops II started in 2005! Here’s a brief synopsis from Wikipedia:

“Black Ops II is set in 2025, as opposed to the Cold War setting of Black Ops. In this new setting, China and the United States are locked in a cold war after China bans the export of rare earth elements following a cyberattack that cripples the Chinese Stock Exchange. War is now defined by robotics, cyberwarfare, unmanned vehicles and other modern technology. The game’s story deals with the speculation that this unmanned technology could just as well be used against those it was meant to protect.

Although the game is set in 2025, it will start in the 1980s Cold War era in order to focus on the origin story of the primary antagonist of Black Ops II: Raul Menendez, who, in 2025, is provoking a war between China and the USA. In the 1980s section of the game, the player protagonist will be Alex Mason, protagonist of Black Ops. Much of the action in this section will take place in the proxy wars of Central America. Another character from Black Ops, Frank Woods will be returning in Black Ops II and will narrate the story into 2025. In the 2025 section, the player protagonist will be David Mason, son of Alex Mason.

It has been hinted at that the side-plot of Viktor Reznov and his relationship with Alex Mason, which began in World at War and was advanced by Black Ops, will be continued in Black Ops II.”

This trailer is pretty intense to say the least. There are copter battles, you see ground vehicles moving, and more! The game is slated for a 11/13/12 release. You gotta wait until the fall to cop it, but you can pre-order it! Salute to Activision for another hype release! Also, you MUST check out the little documentary. The people in there MAKE A GREAT POINT about the development of technology and how we are widening the gap between our own rationale of learning what this technology’s potential is down the road…as well as the way we mass produce this technology at a much faster rate these days. You have to watch it after you view the Black Ops II reveal trailer below! Remember to pre-order your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II right now!

100 Yen: The Teaser Trailer

If you haven’t already seen any of the different 100 Yen videos, I STRONGLY suggest you to check em out! Basically, the premise of the whole documentary is studying the evolution and decline of the Arcade. However, there is a shining speck of hope with Japan holding onto this almost sacred way of playing excellent gaming titles! It’s like a whole culture onto its own, you know?

They have some of the mainstream stuff like the music games like the DDR, Pop n Music kinda titles. Also, they have the hardcore fighting games where the way you are pitched up makes for a more intensive match. Just imagine instead of playing right next to your opponent…you are on the other side of the arcade. This definitely adds to the general mystique and feel of the match!

Seeing as they’ve gotten quite a bit of funding since the last one of these trailers, there are some pretty cool updates as far as the camera is concerned. Also, you’ll get a feel of downtown Japanese culture, city life, and what games truly do mean for some people. If I had the opportunity to go to Japan, this is def one of the cooler videos/trailers out there.

Without further ado, check out 100 Yen: The Teaser

Tweet This is practically a gem right here. G4 did something right. HAHAHA. All jokes aside, I really dig this documentary that touches on a few key subjects that even correlate to now. One thing that Sony was very ingenious for doing is branching out into something that they never tried before yet knew how [...]
