God of War III, Pokemon Soulsilver top gaming charts

Although, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii remain the top selling consoles – this does not draw the line as far as console games are concerned. In fact, the amount of games sold between God of War III and Pokemon Soulsilver for the DS are rather close in units sold.

God of War III etches out the top spot with 1.1 million units sold. On the other hand, Pokemon Soulsilver is a close follow with 1.02 million units sold. As you can see, VERY CLOSE! Another interesting note brought by IGN, is the fact that the Gold edition (Heartgold) of the Pokemon DS game sold over 750k which makes Pokemon the top franchise in gaming for the month overall.
